MVPS France High Performance Cloud KVM VPS Test and Review

We’ve tested the speedy MVPS France VPS Server recently. This server runs on an Intel Xeon Gold processor at 2.4 GHz and comes packed with 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of RAM, 50 GB of fast NVMe SSD storage, and 200 Mbps internet connection. You also get 5 TB of data transfer and an IPv4 address.

Our review covers a bunch of tests. We start with basic performance checks to see how it handles everyday tasks. Then, we dive deeper with network tests to see how well it connects with global locations, and we’ll also check how quickly it responds to commands from around the world.

We’ve got the regional access test for those interested in streaming or accessing content from different areas. Plus, we’ll be looking at how stable and fast the connection is with the help of CloudFlare’s tools. Finally, we’ll judge web performance with insights from PageSpeed and GTmetrix to see how snappy websites will run on this server.

About MVPS

MVPS.net is a European-based company that provides cloud Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting services. The company is committed to offering affordable VPS servers of the highest possible quality.

The Servers Control Panel of MVPS.net is designed to provide users with a comprehensive and user-friendly interface to manage their VPS servers. Here are some key features:

Control Panel Options: MVPS.net servers work with both cPanel and Plesk, the two leading control panels in the industry. This provides customers with more variety and flexibility. Users can choose one of the cPanel plans if they want this control panel from the start, or they can select a standard VPS plan and install cPanel themselves.

Configuring Your Server: The control panel allows users to configure their cloud VPS servers based on KVM full virtualization with dedicated resources. Users can choose their preferred operating system, disk type (SSD or NVMe), and server plan.

Private Network Configuration: MVPS.net supports private networks for all their servers. A private network is created for each customer and the data centers they provide. Users can enable the private network and configure the IPs in the Operating System.

Interface Management: The control panel allows users to manage their network interfaces. For example, on Linux servers, users can check their interfaces by running the IP link. Users can go to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> View network status and tasks -> Change adapter settings on Windows.

Conclusion

First off, the disk performance was less than stellar. The I/O speed consistently hovered around 10 MB/s across our tests, significantly below what we hoped to see, especially for an NVMe SSD. Ideally, we look forward to speeds well over 200 MB/s, so this was a bit of a letdown.

On the brighter side, the server’s network speed lived up to its billing. Uploads and downloads danced around the 150 Mbps mark with impressively low latency – especially within Europe – demonstrating its muscle in maintaining quick and stable connections.

We tested the server’s processing power with Geekbench, where it fetched a single-core score of 720 and a multi-core score of 1373. This performance is acceptable, sitting in a good range for single-core and a solid range for multi-core operations. It’s not top-of-the-line, but it’s reliable enough for various tasks. The UnixBench scores backed this up, showing the server’s multi-thread capacity to handle several tasks without breaking a sweat.

In conclusion, the MVPS France VPS is a mixed bag. While the network abilities are commendable, ensuring swift online interactions, the disappointing disk speeds could be a bottleneck, especially in tasks that require quick read and write operations. This server could be suitable for projects where high network speeds are critical and disk performance is a secondary concern. Always consider your specific needs when considering this or any other server.
