HostUp Sweden Stockholm AMD EPYC-Milan-v2 VPS Hosting Test and Review
We recently tested HostUp‘s High-Performance VPS Hosting in Stockholm, Sweden (Plan: VPSXS). The server uses an AMD EPYC-Milan-v2 processor with 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe SSD storage, a 25 Gbps internet port, 2 TB of data transfer, and both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
Our review covered several tests: Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark for performance, Global Node Test for network speed from different locations, and Global Ping Test for latency. We also checked media access with The Media Unlock Test, connection quality with the CloudFlare Internet Test, and web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
In our Basic Benchmark tests, the I/O speed impressed us with an average of 1855.5 MB/s, which we rate excellent. Upload and download speeds were also strong, with notable performance in locations like Amsterdam, where download speeds reached 7979.50 Mbps. Latency remained low, especially in local and European tests.
The Yabs performance bench confirmed the server’s robust disk speed, achieving a total read/write speed of 5.57 GB/s with a 1m block size. These results indicate excellent I/O performance, ensuring fast data access and transfer.
In the Geekbench 6 test, the server scored 1598 in single-core and 2941 in multi-core performance, both of which are good. The UnixBench results further highlighted the server’s capabilities, with high file copy and shell script performance scores, demonstrating its strength in handling various tasks efficiently.
