IPServerOne Malaysia General Cloud Instance Hosting Test and Reviews

We’ve tested the IPServerOne Malaysia Shared vCPU General Cloud Instance. This server uses an AMD EPYC Processor. It has these features: 4 core CPU, 15 GB RAM, 50 GB of SSD storage, an internet port with a speed of 250 Mbps, 1 TB of traffic, and one IPv4 and IPv6 address each.

We’ll use the Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark tests for key measurements. We’ll apply the Global Node Test to evaluate its network quality extensively. To measure its response speed, we’ll conduct the Global Ping Test.

Our team also checked its accessibility from different locations by performing the Media Unlock Test. To assess the quality of its internet connection, we’ll employ the CloudFlare Internet Test. Finally, we’ll gauge web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance.

Conclusion

First, we carried out Basic Bench and Yabs Performance Bench tests. These analyses provided insights into the server’s disk input/output (I/O) speed and general performance. The I/O speed across all three runs performed remarkably consistently, averaging around 233 MB/s. Upload and download speeds measured against different global nodes were decent, with especially good performance observed in regions with low latency, like Singapore. The Yabs Performance Bench results showed balanced read and write speeds across block sizes.

Next, we ran the Geekbench 6 Benchmark Test and UnixBench to gauge the server’s CPU performance. The Single Core and Multi-Core Geekbench 6 scores came in at 1836 and 6106, respectively, suggesting competent processing capabilities. The UnixBench score further confirms this, with the system benchmarks index score suggesting a good CPU performance, especially when all 4 CPUs were used together.

Lastly, we conducted a Media Unlock Test to measure the server’s regional accessibility. Outcomes showed that services like Dazn, YouTube Premium, Amazon Prime Video, TVBAnywhere+, iQyi Oversea, and Viu.com were available in Malaysia. However, some streaming platforms, including HotStar, Disney+, and Netflix (except for Netflix Originals), are unfortunately inaccessible in this region.
