Cherry Servers Singapore Dedicated Resources Cloud VDS Server Test and Review
Today, we will test the Cherry Servers dedicated cloud server in Singapore. It has an Intel Xeon Processor (Icelake) featuring 4 CPU cores, 16 GB of RAM, 100 GB of SSD storage, a fast 1 Gbps internet connection, a generous 3 TB data transfer limit, and a single IPv4 address.
We’ll conduct a series of tests:
- Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark to check core performance metrics.
- Global Node Test to review network performance globally.
- Global Ping Test to measure how long it takes data to travel to and from the server.
Additionally, we’ll perform:
- The Media Unlock Test to see what regional content this server can access.
- The CloudFlare Internet Test to gauge the server’s internet connection quality.
- PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance tests to understand web performance and loading speeds.
About Cherry Servers
Cherry Servers is a rapidly growing company that provides dedicated cloud services. Established in 2001, it has become one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe offering dedicated cloud services.
The company offers a range of services designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses worldwide. Their services are built on an open cloud platform that gives users full control, ensuring stable workloads, and provides free technical support 24/7.
Cherry Servers offers three main types of services: Shared or dedicated virtual servers for small & medium workloads, private bare metal servers for high-end workloads, and custom dedicated servers where you can choose every hardware component yourself. They also offer a public cloud platform with on-demand, spot, or fixed-term billing, clean API, and an automated network.
One of the key features of Cherry Servers is its simplicity and speed. Their pre-built virtual servers are prepared and provisioned automatically from the ground up and can be deployed in as little as 3 minutes. Users can manage their servers through a user-friendly interface, command-line interface, or API.
Cherry Servers also offers a range of additional features to enhance their services. These include backup storage, DDoS protection, free traffic, and premium network features. Users can add up to 2TB of secure backup storage to protect their sensitive data.

Conclusion
Our initial ‘Basic Benchmark’ showed consistent input/output (I/O) speeds averaging 374 MB/s across three tries, indicating a stable and fast storage system. This is crucial for high-performance applications that rely on quick data access.
In the ‘Yabs Performance Bench,’ which simulates real-world conditions by mixing read and write operations, the server maintained impressive disk speeds exceeding 1 GB/s for larger block sizes. These figures demonstrate the server’s ability to handle substantial storage operations simultaneously, a must-have for intensive database and file-handling tasks.
The ‘Geekbench 6’ and ‘UnixBench’ benchmarks further highlighted the server’s CPU capabilities with solid single and multi-core performances, suggesting that multitasking and demanding processing tasks can be managed efficiently.
These tests also reflected excellent computational power, with the server excelling in the UnixBench test when running multiple copies of tests in parallel, boosting the index score significantly to 2531.8, compared to a single copy’s 1296.8, showcasing excellent scalability under load.
On the networking front, the ‘Global Node’ and ‘Ping’ tests checked the server’s network performance globally, a vital factor for businesses that cater to international audiences. While specific results aren’t detailed here, they typically provide insights into the server’s response times and data transfer efficiency across different regions.
In conclusion, Singapore’s Cherry Servers cloud server stands out as a powerful option for businesses requiring high-speed data processing, dependable storage performance, and versatile media access. It appears well-suited to handle demanding web applications, rich media content, and a wide array of computational tasks, making it an asset for businesses aiming to maintain a strong online presence across diverse international markets.
